Nissan unveils the new Infiniti FX

Infiniti series now welcomes its newest member– the 2009 Infiniti FX. It is scheduled to be unveiled on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. Although the company’s headquarters in Nashville showed the vehicle’s prototypes, Nissan chooses to unveil its newest car in Geneva as it expanding sales in Europe.

As my fellow car enthusiasts in Autopartswarehouse have tipped me, the new generation car will come in three models– FX50, FX35 and FX37. Only FX50 will be unveiled in Geneva and will go on sale in Europe in fall 2008. FX50 boasts it 5.0 liter V8 engine and 390 horsepower. And yes, as you might have guess, the FX37 will come in 3.7 liter engine and the FX35 driving in 3.5 liter engine.

According to Topspeed Review, the exterior highlights will include flowing front fender curves, expressive front fascia with Infiniti’s signature double-arch grille and L-shaped High-Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-xenon headlights with integrated fog lamps. Also the rear will feature large LED taillights – an Infiniti trademark, refined rear bumper and an integrated RearView Monitor camera. The camera will help you to have a 360 degree view of what was around you.

These changes might put a need for new replacement and OEM parts for Autopartswarehouse. But then, we have not yet known what drives this car that will compete against Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne and Lexus RX.

According to LeftlaneNews, Infiniti FX also include a seven-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel double-wishbone suspension, 21-inch wheels designed by Enkei, Continuous Damping Control (CDC) suspension, Rear-Active Steer, and Intelligent Brake Assist.

It is expected to go on sale on June 2008 in Canada and United States.
